STILLMAN VALLEY — Stillman Valley High School is excited to announce the launch of its inaugural Athletic Hall of Fame, aimed at celebrating the rich history and achievements of athletes, coaches, and contributors to the school's athletic programs.
The Stillman Valley High School Athletic Hall of Fame will recognize individuals and teams who have made significant contributions to the school's athletic legacy. The Hall of Fame will include the following categories:
Team: A Stillman Valley High School team or organization that had outstanding achievement, which may include record status or state recognition, at least 10 years prior to selection.
Student-Athlete: Former Stillman Valley High School student-athletes who have had success and achievements, during their high school career and beyond, and who have been out of school for at least 10 years.
Coach: Former or current athletic coach who has displayed excellence on and off the field/court in leading their teams at SVHS. Coaching candidates become eligible for consideration after 10 years of coaching at SVHS.
Friend of SVHS: Those who have given meritorious service to Stillman Valley High School or have been a loyal friend to SVHS.
Field/Facility Naming Rights: Offering the opportunity for individuals or organizations to have their name associated with one of the school's athletic fields, demonstrating a commitment to the continued success of Stillman Valley High School athletics.
Applications for the Stillman Valley High School Athletic Hall of Fame will be accepted until May 1, 2024. Nominations can be submitted online through the school's website or by contacting the athletic department directly. https://hs.meridian223.org/o/hs
"As we embark on this exciting initiative to honor the storied history of Stillman Valley athletics, we ask for patience and understanding from our community," SVHS Athletic/Activities Director Henry Robison said. "With such a rich legacy to celebrate, we want to ensure that each nominee receives the thoughtful consideration they deserve."
The inaugural class of inductees into the Stillman Valley High School Athletic Hall of Fame will be announced later in the year, with an induction ceremony planned to celebrate their achievements.
