OREGON — On April 10 at approximately 1 p.m., deputies responded to a pedestrian-versus-vehicle accident in the 10,000 block of West Pines Road in rural Polo. After an investigation it was determined that David Stouffer, 69, of Polo was walking to the mailbox and entered the roadway disregarding oncoming traffic. Stouffer was struck by a vehicle being driven by Lucy Chamberlain, 75, of Dixon. Stouffer was transported to KSB Hospital for injuries sustained.
All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
