OREGON — The Oregon Chamber of Commerce recently congratulated Lou Vander Wyst for his 20 years of service and dedication to helping local small businesses grow and prosper at Conover Square and the Old Piano Factory.

“His leadership, dedication and support to small businesses is what makes Oregon such a great place to live, work and do business!” a press release said.

Conover Square is a 125-year-old piano factory that has been converted into a 50,000 square foot walkable indoor mall full of specialty shops, eateries and novel attractions. Conover has been an incubator for many businesses, with the availability to start small and grow into their full potential.

Hazel’s Cafe started at Conover in 2017 and quickly grew seeking a larger downtown brick and mortar in 2018. Without Lou’s support and nourishment of emerging entrepreneurs, many would not have the opportunity to pursue their passion and devotion for businesses to grow and prosper.
