SVHS student earns honor

STILLMAN VALLEY – Stillman Valley High School student, Richard Sutliff, has been named a Commended Student for the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Students are chosen because of their test score from the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). These students have shown outstanding academic potential and are among the 50,000 highest-scoring participants.

Sutliff is a senior and is active in the school musical, the academic teams and is currently Senior Class President. 

“Those being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success,” commented a spokesperson for NMSC.

"Mister Richie Sutliff is an excellent student,” said SVHS Principal Leslie Showers. “He uses his talents in the academic arena as well as extracurricular activities."
