Students help with Pumpkin Lunch

MOUNT MORRIS – On Sunday, Oct. 20, the Oregon High School National Honor Society members spent an afternoon assisting with a Pumpkin Lunch at the Mount Morris Moose Club.

The Mount Morris Moose provided free lunch and pumpkins for over one hundred children including kids from Mooseheart Child City, as well as local children. The kids were able to choose their own pumpkins from the Moose’s own pumpkin patch. They were then provided supplies and help to decorate, as well as games, face painting, and lunch.

OHS NHS members helped with the event by cutting and washing pumpkins, serving lunch, face painting, and assisting kids with games, pumpkin decorating, and crafts. The day ended with a lively game of bingo and an exciting competitive game of musical chairs. A good time was had by all and both organizations look forward to working together at future events.
