OREGON – Stephen O. Smith of Deshler, Ohio (formerly of Oregon) passed away on Jan. 9 after a long illness. Steve was born to Warren and Lynn (Hughes) Smith on Jan. 22, 1971.
He attended Oregon schools and NIU. He lived in Denver, Colo., and Phoenix, Ariz., before moving to Ohio, Steve loved music, collecting CD’s and DVD’s, fantasy sports teams, the Green Bay Packers and the White Sox.
Steve is survived by his parents, Warren (Maggie) Smith of Byron, and Lynn (Buck) Crosser of Malinta, Ohio; sister Jennifer Smith of Rapid City, Ohio; step-sisters Linda (James) Auth of Oregon; Glenna Boomer of Ohio; step-brothers Cris, Jon and Bob Crosser of Ohio; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Steve is pre-deceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents and two step-sisters, Angela Boss and Rosalie Otten.
