March 19

At approximately 10:23 p.m., Deputies initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Illinois Rt 2 and Patricia Dr. After further investigation Matthew Capella, 31 of Springfield, was placed under arrest for Driving While License Suspended and No Valid Drivers License. Capella was also cited for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Improper Display of Registration. A passenger in the vehicle, Amy Shea, 25 of Ashlund, was placed under arrest for an outstanding Ogle County warrant. Both Capella and Shea were transported to the Ogle County Jail where they were held in lieu of bond.

March 18

Jose Saenz, 30 of Sterling, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for Failure to Appear. Saenz appeared in court and was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond. Saenz will appear in court on 04/29/19 at 9 a.m.

At approximately 9:14 p.m., Deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 5000 block of West Illinois Rt 72.  After further investigation Aryiel Basaldu, 24 of Forreston, was placed under arrest for Driving While License Suspended. Basaldua was also cited for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Speeding, Expired Registration, Possession of Cannabis, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Basaldua was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond.

At 2:32 p.m., Deputies responded to the 8000 block of South Illinois Rt 2 for a  vehicle versus telephone pole accident. It was determined that Hallie Diveley, 23 of Dixon, was traveling north on Rt 2 when a suspension malfunction occurred causing her vehicle to veer into a telephone pole. Diveley was transported to KSB for minor injuries by Dixon Rural Fire Department. Deputies were assisted at the scene by Dixon Autobody, Illinois Emergency Management Agency, and ComEd. The accident remains under investigation.

March 17

At 6:41 a.m. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies and the Mt Morris Police Department responded to a Domestic Problem at 209 Main St, Leaf River. After a further investigation Mark T. Miller, 36 of Leaf River, was located in the 300 block East 3rd St., Leaf River.  Miller was arrested for Domestic Battery and transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

March 16

At 11:21 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies were attempting to stop a vehicle near Blackhawk Rd and Colfax St. The vehicle continued to the 200 block of Sumner Street where it finally stopped. Upon further investigation of the traffic stop, Haylee A. O’Sullivan, 27 of Byron, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. O’Sullivan also received citations for no lights when required, expired registration, and improper lane usage. O’Sullivan was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she remained in lieu of bond.

At approximately 5:45 p.m., deputies responded to the intersection of Baseline road and Mulford road for a single vehicle crash with injuries. After completing an investigation, Nicholas Miroballi III, 24 of Belvidere was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Miroballi was also cited for improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and driving on the shoulder. Due to injuries, Miroballi was transported to Rochelle Community Hospital and issued a court date.

At approximately 2:45 a.m., Deputies were dispatched to 1460 S. Lowell Park Road in rural Polo for the report of a disturbance.  After conducting an investigation, Matthew Bonnell, 29 of Polo was arrested for Disorderly Conduct.  Matthew was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.

March 15

The following people were arrested for Ogle County Outstanding Warrants:

Norman Bryant, 64, of Rockford for Failure to Appear, Bryant had a bond of $3867. Bryant's bond was reduced to $2200 after court. Bryant did post bond and was released from the Ogle County Jail. Bryant will have to return for court on 04/29/19 at 9 a.m.

Manuel Sago, 29, of Rockford for Failure to Appear, Sago had a bond of $618. Sago bond was reduced to $20. Sago posted the $20 bond and was released from the Ogle County Jail. Sago will return to court on 03/25/19 at 9 a.m.

At approximately 8 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to the 5800 block of N. River Road for the report of a hit and run. Moments later Deputies were also notified of a car versus pole just North of the hit and run. Upon arrival of the car versus pole, Deputies made contact with Melvin Wilton, 21 of Rochelle. After an investigation, Wilton was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Wilton was also cited for Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid and Accident, and Improper Lane Usage. Wilton was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

At 10:17 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 11000 block of East IL Rt. 64 for traffic violations. After an investigation, Virginia Dyer, 70, of Byron was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Dyer was transported to the Ogle County Jail and was held in lieu of bond.

March 14

Quavion Scott, 23 of Freeport, was arrested for two outstanding Ogle County warrants for Failure to Appear and Petition to Revoke. Scott appeared in court and was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond and a $3,000 recognizance bond. Scott will appear in court on 4/29/19 at 9 a.m. for the Failure to Appear and on 4/12/19 at 9 a.m. for the Petition to Revoke.

At 2:39 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to the area of Rt. 38 and Grove St. in Creston to assist EMS with an unconscious male subject that was involved in a domestic dispute. After an investigation, Tyler Griffeth, 18 of St. Charles, was arrested for Domestic Battery. Griffeth was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

March 13

Sreenath Kanneganti, 27 of Middleton, Wis., was arrested for an outstanding Ogle County warrant for Failure to Appear. Kanneganti posted the $506 full cash bond and was released with no further court date.

At approximately 11 p.m., Deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 12000 block of West Pilgrim Rd. After further investigation Casey Phillips, 32 of Milledgeville, was placed under arrest for Driving While License Suspended. A passenger in the vehicle, Samantha Arnold, 32 also of Milledgeville, was placed under arrest for an outstanding Carroll County Warrant. Arnold was also cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Phillips and Arnold were transported to the Ogle County Jail where they were held in lieu of bond.

At approximately 10:49 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies performed a traffic stop in the 17,000 block of East Creston Road. After investigation Deputies placed Margaret Curtis, 62 of Lee, under arrest for Driving While License Revoked. Curtis was also issued a citation for No Front Registration Plate. Curtis was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond.
