BYRON – Louan "Lou" J. Dallman, age 73, passed away on April 6, 2021 at UW Madison Hospital. She was born on Dec. 3, 1947 in Rockford the daughter of Clifford and Cathryn (Hildebrand) Harms.

She worked as a receptionist for Morning Star Village in Rockford before retiring in March of this year. Louan was a people person and cherished her time spent with family and friends. She never met a stranger and would always focus on others wanting to learn more about them and would go out of her way to make people feel special. She had a great sense of humor and loved making people laugh. She had a one of a kind laugh that would light up a room. Louan will be remembered as always being the life of the party. She enjoyed spending time with her cats and being outdoors; especially enjoying her time outside gardening, mowing, or walking the dog. But, most of all Louan enjoyed being a mother and grandmother; always providing unconditional love and support. She led a simple and beautiful life. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters, Kelly (Dave) Maurici of Roscoe and Kari (Aaron) Szeto of Rockford; siblings, Lana Erxleben of Rockford, Tom (Kathy) Harms of Stillman Valley, Jim (Mardell) Harms of Stillman Valley, and Dick (Janaan) Harms of Oregon; grandchildren, Karli Dallman, Devan Szeto, Gianna Dallman, and Grayson Szeto; and step grandchildren, Brett Maurici, Shon Maruici, and Samantha Maurici; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Jerry Erxleben.
