Kiwanis hosting Breakfast with Santa

Posted

BYRON – Join Byron Kiwanis on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 8-11 a.m. at Mary Morgan Elementary School for the 10th Annual Breakfast with Santa & Mrs. Claus, sponsored by Kiwanis and Byron Bank.

The school is located at 420 N. Colfax in Byron.

This free community event includes a pancake breakfast, kids’ games and meeting Santa and Mrs. Claus.  A donation of one new, unwrapped toy per child (birth to 14 years) or monetary donation for “Operation Santa” would be appreciated.

Operation Santa was developed by Byron Police Department in 1990 to ensure all children in the community receive gifts at Christmas. Over 29 years, the program, supported and staffed by dedicated volunteers, has collected and distributed Christmas gifts to more than 5,000 Byron area children who otherwise might not have received gifts at Christmas time.

Byron School PTA will also be hosting Santa’s Secret Shop from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on this day at Mary Morgan. This is an opportunity for Mary Morgan students to ‘secretly’ shop for their families. Questions, call/text at Michelle 815-985-5102.
