OREGON – Gene W. Beauchem, 80, lifelong Oregon resident, died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021 in KSB Hospital, Dixon. Born June 9, 1941 in Oquawka, Ill. the son of Eugene and Margaret (Stubbs) Beauchem. He was a 1959 graduate of Oregon High School.

Married to Dorothy Parsons March 18, 1962 in Oquawka. Gene was employed at E.D. Etnyre in Oregon 1962-1979, at Pratts in Dixon and then operated his own welding shop. For the past 4 years, he volunteered driving veterans to their medical appointments. Gene enjoyed reading, watching western movies, and learning about World War II and airplanes. He was a member of Community Baptist Church in Milledgeville where he was a Deacon and taught Men’s Bible Study.

Survived by his wife Dorothy Beauchem of Oregon; sons, Jeff (Barb) Beauchem of Stillman Valley, Wes (Gina) Beauchem of Chana and Craig Beauchem of Dixon; daughters, Annette (David) Jones of Whitewater, Wis., Angela (Paul) Beauchem-Right of Toronto, Ontario, Kathy (Marty) Corbin of Oregon and Marcia Beauchem of Oregon; special nephew, Brad (Cathy) Talbott of Monmouth; 15 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren;  brother, John Beauchem of Palisades, Minn.; sister, Doris Lutrell of Stillman Valley; and many other family members.

Preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10 in Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Oregon with Pastor Kregg Farmer of Community Baptist Church, Milledgeville officiating. Burial in Daysville Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday 5-7 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family.
