CHANA – Charles E. Heng, 92, lifelong resident of Chana, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019 at Oregon Living & Rehabilitation Center. Born June 26, 1927 in Dixon and united in marriage to Marion Potts July 1, 1950 in Chana.

Chuck was a World War II Army Air Force veteran and a lifetime member of Oregon VFW Post 8739. He had been employed at Swift, E.D Etnyre Co. and Local 150 Operating Engineers for various companies and locations, retiring in 1989. Chuck was also a member of Chana United Methodist Church and the “Boot Scootin’ Seniors” and enjoyed flea markets, auctions, flowers, lawn art, fishing, trap shooting and attending school sporting events.

Survived by his wife, Marian Heng of Chana; daughter, Susan (Stan Olson) Heng of Oregon; sons, Michael (Joan) Heng of Oregon and Charles (Jeanie) Heng of Byron; grandchildren, Michelle (Justin Early) Heng, Marc (Renee) Heng and Jennifer Heng; great grandchildren: Abby, Brooke, Haiden, Gavin and Kylar; a brother; 2 sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16 in Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Oregon preceded by a visitation beginning at 9:30 .am. Burial with military honors in Trinity Memory Gardens, Rochelle. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Charles’ name may be made to Serenity Hospice, Oregon Fire Dept., Chana United Methodist Church or Oregon High School Athletic Dept. www.farrellhollandgale.com.
