ROCKFORD – Beverly J. Hare, 78, of Rockford, passed away suddenly in her home Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019. She was born Jan. 3, 1941 in Rockford, the daughter to Lois (Light) and Kenneth Eickman.

Beverly was a graduate of Leaf River High School, class of 1959. She married the love of her life, William “Bill” Hare on Dec. 12, 1964. Bill preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 1991. Beverly attended Swedish American College of Nursing becoming an RN. She worked many years at Rockford Clinic for Dr. Kronenberg & Dr. Koteles. Beverly was a member of the Birthday Group, Chew and Chat and Swedes Nursing alum. She was an avid Chicago Bears and Blackhawks fan. One of Mom’s favorite things in this world was the annual family trip to Gulf Shores, Ala.  She would sit on the balcony early in the morning with her binoculars and a good book watching for the dolphins to swim by.

Beverly enjoyed reading, the outdoors and a good glass of wine. But above all, she loved the time she spent with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren who she called her “Rays of Sunshine.” Nana always said that God brought her these rays of sunshine to heal her broken heart from losing her husband Bill. She will be forever remembered as a loving daughter, wife, mother, nana, aunt and friend.
