OREGON – Alice F. White, 83, passed away at KSB Hospital in Dixon on Tuesday, Jan. 11. 2022. She was born in Lone Rock, Wis., on Jan. 15, 1938 the daughter of Al and Hazel McGuire.
She married Darrel White on June 15, 1957. Alice worked for the Byron Forrest Preserve and OCEC. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rochelle. In her spare time; Alice enjoyed reading, playing pool, and going on walks. She also loved doing jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Darrel of Oregon; children, Cindy (Greg) Vant of Leaf River and Dan (Sherrie) White of Owatonna, Minn.; grandchildren, Amy White of Oregon, Ashley (Justin) Szymczak of Neenah, Wis., Bethany Steuerwald of Mt. Morris, Michala White of Frisco, Texas, and Christy (Joshua) Bunger of Rochelle; step grandchildren, Stephanie (Brandi) Gilbertson of Mariana, Fla., Trevor (Julia) Vant of Jacksonville, Ill., Megan Finch of Jacksonville, Ill., and Ryan Vant of Jacksonville, Ill.; step great grandchildren, Ashley, Jack, Wyatt, Lilly, Kiera, Odin, Avery, and Dahlia; and 6 siblings.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Nancy and 2 siblings.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022 at First Baptist church, 810 Woolf Ct, Rochelle, IL 61068 with Pastor Douglas Cowan officiating. Visitation was held from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Memorial donations in Alice’s name may be made to the First Baptist Church.
