BYRON – Margie F. Bouton, age 86, died Wed., Jan. 16, 2013 at Swedish American Hospital with her 3 loving sons at her side. She was born Oct. 3, 1926 in Harrison, the daughter of Clarence and Ethel (Koltoff) Boyer.
Margie graduated from Pecatonica High School in 1944. She married Robert Bouton on Oct. 13, 1945 in Rockford. He preceded her in 1996.
Margie worked at Quality Metal in Byron and for many years at the Byron Middle School Cafeteria. She was active in the Byron Senior Center, loved to go to the Casino Boats, and spend time with her friends from Blanchard Court.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and sister Nancy Aurand.
Survived by her 3 sons; Daniel (Gloria) Bouton of Stillman Valley, Douglas (Leslie) Bouton of Byron, and Steven (Susan) Bouton of Oregon, 2 brothers; Russell Boyer of Florida, and Ronald (Susan) Boyer of Arizona, sister Doris Strakeljahn of Winnebago, 11 grandchildren, and 12 Great Grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Pecatonica Cemetery in Pecatonica with the Rev. Randy Snider pastor of the First Baptist Church in Byron officiating. No visitation.
