Mary A. Steele

OREGON – Mary A. Steele, age 76, of Oregon died Thursday, July 19, 2012 at KSB Hospital in Dixon. She was born on June 28, 1936 in Belvidere, the daughter of John and Henrietta (McMillan) Fuhrmann. She married Donald E. Steele on June 24, 1953 in Streator, IL.
Mary was a member of Rock River Senior Center and the Mt Morris Moose Lodge 1551. She loved life, playing Bingo, and going to the White Pines Dinner Theater.
She is preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Barbara Walters.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Donna (John) Trimble of Mackinaw, IL, and Mary F. Steele of Oregon; sister, Theresa Irlean Regner of Oregon; grandson, Benjamin, and special friend, Ray Mueller.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2012 at Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home, 110 South 7th St, Oregon, with Pastor Myron Bartell officiating. Visitation was held from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial was in Daysville Cemetery.
