BYRON — Former Byron Museum District Director, Jessica McCanse, 34 of Oregon has been accused of misappropriating funds from the museum.
Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies arrested McCanse on July 3. According to court documents McCanse is accused of taking more than $10,000 but less than $100,000 from the Byron Museum District between July 3, 2009 and February of 2011.
According to the Ogle County Sheriff’s press release McCanse turned herself into the Ogle County Jail and posted 10% of the $4000 bond and was released.
McCanse is scheduled to appear in court on August 3, 2012 at 9 a.m. for the alleged charges.
