OREGON — Two delightful ladies from Pine Creek are donating a handmade quilt to the Annual Oregon / Mount Morris FFA Alumni Fundraiser Dinner and Auction. Sandy Sheely pieced the queen size quilt and Carol Bellows from Creative Designs Embroidery & Longarm Quilting in Oregon quilted the piece. The quilt is made from 100% cotton fabric purchased from Quilt In a Day located in Paducah, KY. The batting is warm and white and was purchased from Hancock’s also in Paducah, KY. The focus fabric of the quilt is yellow roses with lavender accents. Other accent colors are gold, light yellow, lavender, and green. The alumni chapter would like to thank Sandy and Carol for this lovely donation. The pork chop fundraiser dinner and auction are being held on June 9th at the Ogle County Fairgrounds. Dinner will be served from 5:00-7:30pm with the auction starting at 6:30pm. Tickets are $5.50 for a one-chop dinner and $7.50 for a two-chop dinner and can be purchased by contacting the Oregon FFA Chapter at 815-6241 extension 1116 or stopping by Anderson Feed Company in Chana. A few other items that will be up for auction include baked pies and breads from community members, a certificate for one FREE week of camp at the White Pines Ranch, bags of animal feed from Anderson Feed Co., a toy tractor from Meridian Implement, and FFA members will be participating in a labor auction. If you would like to donate items or sponsor the fundraiser please contact the Oregon FFA Chapter at firstname.lastname@example.org. All proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to provide scholarships for Oregon FFA members. The Oregon / Mount Morris FFA Alumni would like to thank the community for their continued support and looks forward to seeing everyone on June 9th.
