Dear Editor,
It seems each day the subject on TV is bullying, as if this activity is something new. I am 79 years old, when I was 13 and going to the one-room school a “smart-alec” student disliked me and put a pen in a color crayon and threw it at me. I lost the sight of my right eye. The problems this has caused are endless – medical bills, difficulty getting insurance and being rejected for some jobs.
Later I was drafted in the Army – being right-handed I had to learn to handle a weapon left-handed. Driving a vehicle is always a challenge.
At present I am dealing with a cataract forming on my left eye – just another challenge.
It is difficult for me to suggest punishment for such misbehavior but I have paid a huge price.
