Shelley and Kyle Franklin

MILILANI, Hawaii — Shelley Hoenle, of Miliani, Hawaii (Island of Oahu), and Kyle Franklin, of Honolulu, Hawaii (Island of Oahu), were united in marriage on May 3, 2009 during a 4 p.m. ceremony at Kualoa Ranch, Ka’a’awa, Hawaii, by Yukio Hamada.

Parents of the couple are Bernie and Marcia Hoenle, of Woodridge, Va., and Todd and Lori Franklin, of Byron.

A reception was held at Kualoa Ranch.

The couple honeymooned on the Island of Kauai and was recently transferred to New Orleans, La., where Kyle was reassigned to Stennis Space Center.

The bride is employed by Helber, Hastert & See Planners Inc. She is a graduate of Liberty High School, Colorado Springs, Colo., the University of Notre Dame (BS), Syracuse University (MS) and the University of Hawaii (PhD).

The groom is a graduate of Byron High School and the United States Naval Academy (BS). The U.S. Navy employs him as a Lieutenant.
