THE 2012 Relay For Life of Ogle West, “Peace. Love. Purple Power” was held on Friday, June 8 at the Byron High School Track. Ogle County Relay for Life raised an amazing amount of $48,971 on Friday, June 8 at their annual event. Beautiful weather and 192 participants helped raise the funds for the American Cancer Society.
Relay for Life had 24 teams participating this year. Top Teams were The Buffaloes raising $8525.00; Driven Disciples raising $4644; and Determined Misfits raised $4160.00.
Top particpants raising funds were Karen Virnoche-Brown with $8350.00; Mary Hoernecke with $1870.00 and Bill Perchiazzi with $1080.00.
