MT. MORRIS — Ruth Stengel of Mt. Morris will be celebrating her 100th birthday with an open house at Pinecrest Terrace on March 6 from 2-4 p.m. Cake, coffee and punch will be served. All friends and relatives are invited to join in the celebration.

Ruth was born March 2, 1910. She was raised in Pinecreek (Polo) and then lived most of her life in Mt. Morris. She was married to the late Owen Diehl and then to the late Charles Stengel.

She has one daughter, Carolyn (Diehl) Hackbarth, two grandchildren Diane (William) Palmer and Duane (Heidi) Hackbarth, she has three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
