Stillman Bank’s annual Christmas food drive collects 1,006 pounds of food

STILLMAN VALLEY – In the spirit of giving back this holiday season, Stillman Bank held a food drive to benefit area families this Christmas. 1,006 pounds of non-perishable food items were collected during the two-week event. Now in its 14th year, this annual food drive has collected over 14,000 pounds of food since its inception in 2008.

The Christmas Food Drive kicked off at all Stillman Bank locations on Friday, Nov. 24 and continued through Friday, Dec. 8. Donations will be made just in time for Christmas to several area food pantries including: Bread of Life pantry in Stillman Valley, Lifeline Food & Self-Help Project in Oregon, Old Stone Church Food Pantry in Rockton, People Helping People in Byron, Rochelle Christian Food Pantry in Rochelle, and Rock River Valley Pantry in Rockford.
