Philip T. Naber

OREGON — Philip T. Naber 81 passed away peacefully on Thursday January 4th 2024 at Amberwood Care Center. Philip was born August 12th 1942 to parents Harold (Marie) Naber and Manola (Alex) Adams. He graduated from Oregon Highschool in 1960. He also served in the United States Army. Philip lived in Oregon for many years. He worked for Steve Benesh and Sons and other Contractors as a cement finisher for Local 11. If you knew Phil he may be stubborn but had a heart of gold and a hard worker. He had many hobbies including golfing, boating on the rock river, turkey shoots and shooting pool at Franklin Street with his buddies and his son Philip on Thursday nights. Philip loved spending time with his grandkids. One of the grandkids special memories is him cooking breakfast for them on Christmas mornings. Always walking through the door saying "Howdy Howdy" then when he would leave "well glad you got to see me"

In addition to his parents Philip is preceded in death by his siblings Nola(Harold) Loftis and Barbara French. Philip is survived by his son Philip (Shawn) Naber and his grandkids Ashley (Gunnar) Asher, Kayla (Nick) Miller and Paige Naber. His siblings Phyllis (John) Melenas, Alexis (Mike) Thomas, Mary (Steve) Thomas and many nieces and nephews.

Philip's family would like to extend a special thank you to  OSF Hospital and Amberwood Care Center for the wonderful care of their father.

A Celebration of Life for Philip T Naber will be held January 19th, 2024 at the VFW in Oregon from 5pm-8:30pm. 1310 W Washington St. Oregon,IL.
