Oregon boys bowling defeats Rockford Lutheran

The Oregon boys bowling team hosted Rockford Lutheran at Town & Country Lanes, Mt. Morris on Dec. 21 and came away with a 3,563-2,375 victory. Oregon was led by a duo of Matthew Stahl (686 series - 215, 224, 247) and Gavvin Surmo (681 series - 215, 200, 266). They were followed by RJ Keene’s 594 series, Codey Dunbar’s 556 series, Caleb Ehrler’s 535 series and Brady Davis’ 511 series. The win raised the season record to 13-2.

The JV boys continued their strong showing by totaling 867 pins more than Lutheran’s varsity with a 3,242 series on their way to a forfeit victory.  The JV was led by Ethan Smice with a 588 series (241 high game) followed by Zakk West with a 560 series – and the high individual game of the day with a 275 game. The JV is now 13-0 on the season.

The good scores continued on to the JV2 with Ivan Hernandez rolling a 575 series with a 244 individual game.
