Oregon boys bowling defeats Sterling

The Oregon boys bowling team hosted Sterling at Town & Country Lanes in Mt. Morris on Dec. 6 and raised its season record to 7-2 with a 3,509-3,115 non-conference victory. 

In another well-rounded performance, the Hawks were led by Gavvin Surmo with a 627 series (203, 247, 177), followed closely by Brady Davis’ 610 series, Matthew Stahl’s 592 series, Codey Dunbar’s 572 series, Caleb Ehrler’s 557 series and RJ Keene’s 551 series. 

The JV kept its undefeated season going (7-0) and was led by Aiden Currier with a 519 series. The JV2 was led by Landon Bailey with a 446 series. 

Oregon boys bowling hosts South Beloit

The Oregon boys bowling team bowled South Beloit at Town & Country Lanes in Mt. Morris on Dec. 12 and came away with a 3,494-2,841 conference victory. 

Oregon was led by Matthew Stahl with a 692 series (223, 235, 234), followed by Codey Dunbar’s 626 series, Gavvin Surmo’s 602 series, Brady Davis’ 542 series, Caleb Ehrler’s 519 series and RJ Keene’s 513 series. The win raised the season record to 8-2.

The Oregon JV boys won in convincing fashion 3,310-1,980, raising their record to 8-0. The JV was led by Ethan Smice with a 610 series, followed closely by Caleb Brooks with a 593 series. The JV2 was led by Landon Bailey with a 521 series and bowled unopposed.
