Dear editor,
On behalf of the Floski family, I want to extend our sincerest thanks to Stan Asp, Stan Ballard and other members of the Oregon VFW Post 8739 who organized/formed the detail for military rights for the funeral of my dad, World War II U.S. Navy Pharmacist’s Mate Frank Floski Jr.
The flag presentation and the gun volley were very moving to those in attendance, and were tremendously appreciated by our entire family. Frank’s grandchildren, all born and raised in peacetime, were especially impressed by the retired military turnout for their Poppa.
Thank you to these veterans for their service to our country and for granting my dad the ultimate respect of military rights.
