Dear editor,
We would like to express our support for Dan Janes in the upcoming Republican primary on March 19 for the District 5 Ogle County Board position.
We have known Dan Janes and his family for several decades. We have served on the county board with Dan for many years. Dan has served with us on a number of committees. The county board has called on Dan for his leadership abilities on many occasions. He was instrumental in several of the building projects that have taken place in Ogle County including our new jail. Dan deals with the future needs of Ogle County every month as he currently chairs the Supervisor of Assessment Planning & Zoning Committee.
Over the years county board members have turned to Dan for his opinion and guidance on a wide array of subjects. He attends most of the committee meetings, so his input has been sought out even when he is not an official member of a committee. There have been many times when Dan has been asked to be a part of an ad hoc committee to develop information for the board to consider.
Dan has shown himself to be a good steward for Ogle County and we would like to see him continue to serve all of us.
