Park District offers Zombie Survival Camp

OREGON – The Oregon Park District and NIU Lorado Taft Campus staff is offering a great program for 5th-8th graders this February while school is out for President’s Day.

Zombie Survival Camp will take place on Monday, Feb. 19 which is a no school day for OCUSD families. This special one-day adventure camp features a wide-variety of activities. Most activities will be outdoor but indoor facilities are available depending on weather conditions.

Participants will play games, go through different educational activities including nature, outdoor skills and pioneering all wrapped around the fun concept of zombie survival.

The camp will run from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at Taft Campus, just North at Lowden State Park in Oregon. The camp will also explore unique outdoor hobbies such as cross-country skiing and snowshoeing to help survive in the wild.

There will be a giant zombie vs. humans’ game to conclude the day to test the participants newly acquired skills. Included in your registration, Taft will provide a scrumptious, hot, homemade lunch to each participant of grilled cheese, tomato soup and a beverage.

Registration for this program is just $17 per resident and $20 per non-resident. Deadline to register is Wednesday, Feb. 14. Don't miss out on this one of the time experience!
