OREGON – Mary B. Reciak, 92, of Oregon, died Sunday March 25, 2018 in her home. Born May 1, 1925 in Chicago, the daughter of Walter and Rose (Sumera) Studnicki.
Married to Henry F. Reciak May 29, 1949 in Chicago; he died June 27, 2009. Mary lived in Oregon since 2007, moving from Oswego where she had been employed by Illinois Bell Telephone Co. for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Oregon where she led the daily Rosary while able and was a member of its Catholic Daughters of the Americas Chapter.
Survived by nieces: Elaine (Larry) Troutman, Rosemary (Fred) Murphy and Debbie (Grery) Randall; many great and great-great nieces and gonephews; and dear friends and loving caregivers: Boe, Ana, Gina, Maria and Shirley.
Also predeceased by her parents, a brother, 2 sisters and nephew Ronald Studnicki.
Christian Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 7 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Oregon with Rev. Joseph Naill as celebrant. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Oregon. Visitation will be in Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home Saturday, April 7 beginning at 9 a.m. with a Rosary Service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mary's name may be made to Serenity Hospice, Oregon or St. Mary Catholic Church, Oregon.
