DIXON — Juanita June Day, 89, of Dixon, died Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Serenity Hospice and Home, Oregon. She was a hairdresser at the Dixon State School.

Juanita was born May 1, 1927, in Carterville, the daughter of Bracy and Isobel (Rae) Ridley. She married Robert L. Day April 24, 1948 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on June 30, 2007. She loved to cook and sew.
Survivors include one son-in-law, Kent Anders; three grandchildren, Melissa (Ken) Dilbeck, Matthew (Jenn) Oester, Andrew Oester; seven great-grandchildren, Ashley Justin) Burrington, Kelly (Trevor Bookman) Jacobs, Robert Dilbeck, Cassidy Dilbeck, Kaitlyn Askvig, Liam Cotter; one great-great-grandson, Hayson Bookman; and two nephews, Roger and Randy Barnard.
She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Peggy Anders and Cathy Day; and two sisters, Valita and Nancy.
A memorial has been established to Serenity Hospice and Home, Oregon.
Arrangements are being completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon.
