BYRON – Jason David Hahne, age 42, died on Wednesday Aug. 2, 2017 at his home. Born on April 3, 1975 in Belvidere, he is the son of Gary and Johanna (Schreiber) Hahne.
Jason worked at Chrysler as a tool and die maker and was a member of UAW 1268. He enjoyed the simple things in life like a good IPA, watching 80’s movies and playing Pokemon Go. He loved sports and cheered on the Detroit Red Wings, San Francisco 49ers, North Carolina Tar Heels, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. While he loved sports; his passion was music and attending concerts.
Jason is survived by his beloved son, Devan of Rockford; parents, Gary and Johanna Hahne of Oregon; sister, Erin (Rajko) Ivancich of Roscoe; significant other, Shelia Vargas of Byron; special aunts, Wanda Knaub and Lois Hahne; biological mother, Peggy (Darryl) Cox; biological siblings, Roger, Greg, Jackie, Melinda, and Michelle; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and biological brother Timothy.
Visitation was held from 4-7 p.m. concluding with a time for sharing at 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 7, 2017 at Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home, 506 W. Merchant St. Byron, IL 61010. In lieu of flowers memorials are established in his name. www.farrellholladgale.com
