Bakery to welcome kids into kitchen

OREGON – Do your children or grandchildren love being in the kitchen?
The Oregon Park District has teamed up with The Village Bakery to offer a fun Saturday morning making treats for Halloween. Class is geared for children Pre-K through Kindergarten.
Join Jackie Fransen, bakery manager, as she has fun in the kitchen teaching this hands-on class with different ways to decorate your Halloween treats. The class will meet at The Village Bakery, 101 N. 3rdStreet, Oregon on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 9-11 a.m. Each child must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent or adult.
Each child will leave with 10 treats to bring home. Cost for this hands on decorating class is $10 for residents and $12 for non-residents for child and adult. Deadline to register is Sunday, Oct. 22. Class is limited to the first 12 children. Don’t miss out having fun in the kitchen at The Village Bakery.
