OREGON – Angeline L. Messenger, 77, lifelong Oregon resident, died Thursday, March 29, 2018 in her home. Born Oct. 16, 1940 in Chippewa Falls, Wis., the daughter of William and Noma (Cheever) Bushland.
Married to John Messenger, Jr. July 28, 1958 in Pine City, Minn.; he died Dec. 27, 1991. Angeline was employed at Crest Foods in Ashton for 20 years, retiring in 2008. She loved camping and family gatherings.
Survived by sons: John (Kathy) Messenger of Dixon, Larry (LaDonna) Messenger of Chana, Ronald (Brenda) Messenger of Lanark, Jerry (Lynn) Messenger of Oregon and Scott (Felicia) Messenger of Oregon; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; brother, Lyle Bushland of Oregon; and sisters: Hannah (Bob) Kump of Mount Morris, Judy (Danny) Hitchcock of Oregon and Linda Bushland of Niota, Tenn.
Also predeceased by her parents; son, Terry; brothers: Marvin Cheever and Ronald, Paul and Terry Bushland; grandchildren, Luke and Jenny Messenger; and great grandchildren, Prudence and Emma.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 2 in Daysville Cemetery, Oregon with Pastor John Guthrie of East Oregon Church of God officiating. No visitation. Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Oregon assisted the family.
